Case Studies
    Alperton Community School
  • Cut the Carbon training was part of an enrichment day in December 2006.
  • We trained 120 pupils in 4 hours.
  • We marked 2 Cut the Carbon boards out on the floor in the gym, and played with 45 pupils. The children discussed and agreed their answers and moved around the boards in their groups.
  • We also had a group of 15 that played the Cut the Carbon game on the stage.
  • The pupils came up with some of their own ideas for questions and carbon and lifestyle cards.
  • Feedback from the pupils and teachers was excellent.
    Seven Sisters Primary School
  • Cut the Carbon training was part of an environment week, in March 2007.
  • We trained 90 year 5 pupils, over a day.
  • The teachers were confident they could run the training again and really wanted to keep the game.
  • Nearly all of the children wanted a version for the computer.
  • Most children declared they would go home and read their meters.
  • All the children wanted to play the game again.
